Cigna Pharmacy (Rx)
- Effective January 1, 2023, all employees enrolled in a Cigna medical plan will migrate to the Cigna Preferred Formulary Pharmacy plan.

- Will I receive a communication from Cigna? Yes, all employees and family members that are impacted will receive a letter in the mail directly from Cigna in November.
- What should I do if I receive a letter from Cigna? It is very important that you review with your medical provider/doctor upon receipt and take the necessary actions that are outlined in the letter by the requested deadline. Also, as you transition, please ensure you have filled all appropriate medication in December to reduce any stress of these changes in January.
New Cigna Pharmacy Programs:
- *NEW* Exclusive Specialty Home Delivery: This program provides the lowest member cost for specialty medications by shifting delivery to 90-day supplies instead of monthly trips to pharmacies.

- Important note: The costs will accumulate toward the out-of-pocket maximum but will not count towards the deductible.
- *NEW* Clinical Days’ Supply/Split Fill: This program is being implemented to eliminate medical waste and reduce spend by ensuring new medication is tolerated prior to a full prescription being filled.
-
- What does this mean? There will be a dispensing limit on some specialty medications. Certain prescriptions may be available for 90 days supply while others will be limited to 30 days’ supply. If your Dependent Care FSA elections is impacted due to this non-discrimination testing, you will be notified by a member in the People Function with next steps.

While IRS allows you to contribute a maximum of $5,000 towards the Dependent Care FSA per year; if you meet the definition of a highly compensated employee, you may want to limit your contribution consider contribute to $4,100 maximum. This amount is based on the maximum amount a highly compensated employee was able to contribute in Pega’s Dependent FSA in 2022 due to the 2022 non-discrimination testing result.

Life happens! Accidents can happen anytime, anywhere-at home or at work, on the playground or on the road. Even though your medical plan will cover many expenses due to an accident, there are additional expenses that can really add up. Recent statistics show the average family needs additional financial support when an accident occurs.
By purchasing Accident Insurance, it can help you fill some of the gaps caused by paying your deductible, copays, or out-of-pocket costs related to an accidental injury and ensure you have a safety net of financial protection to help if an accidental injury occurs.
This benefit is available to you, your spouse/partner as well as your children. Contributions are made on a post-tax dollar. Benefits are paid directly to you, or covered family member, and income received will not be considered taxable. This is a portable benefit which means you can take it with you should you leave Pega.
Important Note: Premium does not increase with age
Critical Illness Insurance
A serious medical event such as cancer, heart attack or stroke could leave you in a period of financial difficulty. Critical Illness Insurance may help guard you against financial hardship, which will offer the protection you need to concentrate on what is most important-your treatment, care, recovery, and family.
This benefit is available to you, your spouse/partner as well as your children. Contributions are made on a post-tax dollar.
