Welcome City of Black Hawk Employees!
We created this portal to be an employee resource center to help our valued employees understand and appreciate the City of Black Hawk's extensive benefits package. Employee Services works diligently with our benefits broker, IMA of Colorado, to find the best benefits, and we're proud to present them to you!
This site will be available to you on demand all year, so feel free to bookmark it. Visit the site whenever you or your family members need additional information.
Open Enrollment for the 2021-2022 plan year will run from May 17, 2021, until June 18, 2021. The Open Enrollment period is your opportunity to make changes to your benefit elections for the 2021-2022 plan year.
As with past years, the 2021-2022 Open Enrollment process is a passive enrollment, which means your benefits selection from the current plan year will simply roll over to the 2021-2022 plan year unless you need to make a change. However, we have one new benefit this year, Identity Theft Protection coverage. Our City Council has generously agreed to provide this coverage for all full-time employees and their eligible dependents in the wake of fraudulent Unemployment Insurance claims the City has received. Everyone must enroll online in ID Watchdog. Please visit the Miscellaneous page for more information and to enroll. Otherwise, if you do not want to make any changes to your benefit elections or enrollment, you are not required to do anything else.

Some items to consider when deciding whether or not you need to make a change:
  • Have you recently changed your address or phone number?
  • Have you married, divorced, or legally separated?
  • Has your spouse's employment, work hours, or benefit options changed?
  • Are you receiving Medicare benefits for yourself or any family member due to age or a disability?
  • Do you wish to drop any coverage for yourself and any eligible family member?
  • Do you wish to enroll a newly added family member (due to birth, adoption, or marriage) or re-enroll a family member?
  • Would you like to add any voluntary programs available to all full-time employees?

Open Enrollment is not complete until you make your election changes on ADP.
