Welcome to the 2023 Open Enrollment and Wellness Fair! Grange is pleased to offer valuable benefits and wellbeing programs that enrich the health and wellbeing of you and your family.

Please visit the virtual booths to learn more about Grange's benefits and wellness programs. The fair is to help familiarize you with the vendors and the benefit options at Grange. Should you have additional questions, please attend a benefits meeting by signing up through the Learning Studio.

Open enrollment is your annual opportunity to enroll in benefits or make changes. This year's open enrollment will run October 24 - November 4.

This is an ACTIVE enrollment, which means you must enroll to have medical, dental, vision, HSA and dependent care FSA benefits for 2023. While the fair will give you brief information, more detailed information including pricing is availble in the benefits guidebook in the resources section.

Medical Benefits

Grange is dedicated to improving and maintaining the overall health of our associates. We're proud to offer a comprehensive medical program for you and your family through UnitedHealthcare. This year, there will be a modest increase to your premiums and deductible, but we've also provided several enhancements to your medical plans, such as a musculoskelatal solutions, fertility solutions and a new weight-management program called Real Appeal.

The medical plans continue to be high-deductible health plans that work in coordination with a health spending account (HSA). Grange will continue to seed HSA accounts if associates and their spouses or domestic partners complete the three mandatory activities. Dental Benefits

Maintaining good oral hygiene is important to your overall wellbeing. That's why Grange has partnered with MetLife to provide dental coverage to you and your family. Regular dental care is an important part of caring for your oral health and reducing the risk of major expenses in the future. MetLife coverage helps pay for the cost of routine checkups and other dental needs. In addition, if you have an HSA, you can use those funds to cover eligible dental cost like your deductible and/or copay.

Due to associate response, we now offer two dental plans, a high and low option. Please review your summary below and highlight sheet for more information.

Vision Benefits

Eye examinations can not only determine your need for corrective eyewear, but also may detect general health problems in their earliest states. Exams can help identify early signs of diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol.

If you have perfect vision or require some type of corrective lenses, preventive eye care is an important part of your overall health. VSP can help you offset the expense of exam, frames, contact lenses and more. For 2023, there are no cost increases or changes to the vision plan.

Dependent Care Benefits

A Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA) is a pre-tax benefit account used to pay for eligible dependent care services, such as preschool, summer day camp, before- or after-school programs, and child or adult daycare. It's a smart, simple way to save money, while taking care of your loved ones so you can continue to work.

With a Dependent Care FSA, you use pre-tax dollars to pay qualified out-of-pocket dependent care expenses. The money you contribute to a Dependent Care FSA is not subject to payroll taxes, so you end up paying less in taxes and taking home more of your paycheck. Please review this benefit carefully as it's a use-it-or-lose-it benefit if you don't spend all the money in your account.

Life Insurance Benefits

Grange offers supplemental life insurance that provides a financial benefit to dependents upon premature death of an employee. The policy pays a specified amount called a “death benefit” to the named beneficiary when the insured dies. People purchase additional life insurance for many reasons — to provide an income to replace lost earning potential,  to fund retirement plans, to pay for college educations, to provide dependency income for the family — are just a few. Review the information below on supplemental associate, spouse, and child life insurance.

When thinking about purchasing life insurance, you want to make sure you have enough to cover your dependents future and standard living. Refer to the information below for an overview and cost of the life insurance policy including a life-insurance calculator.

Disability Benefits

Long-term disability (LTD) insurance is a type of insurance policy that can provide financial benefits to an associate who's unable to work for a long period due to an accident, illness or injury. This type of insurance coverage provides the associate with a portion of their income while you're absent from work after you've exhausted short-term disability (STD). Below you'll find information about Grange's disability program including increasing your premium.

Short-term disability is a type of insurance that covers income for people who need to take time away from work because they're unable to perform job duties due to an illness or an injury. Grange provides short-term disability coverage to all full-time associates.

401(k) Retirement Benefits

Grange is pleased to offer a company-sponsored 401(k) plan through Vanguard. A 401(k) plan is a company-sponsored retirement account to which associates can contribute income, while Grange matches up to 6% of contributions (3% for those in the pension plan).

There are two basic types of 401(k)s — traditional and Roth — which differ primarily in how they're taxed. With a traditional 401(k), employee contributions are pretax, meaning they reduce taxable income, but withdrawals are taxed. Employee contributions to Roth 401(k)s are made with after-tax income. There's no tax deduction in the contribution year, but withdrawals are tax free. Grange allows three types of associate contributions: pretax, Roth and traditional after tax.
