Open Enrollment is here!

During our annual OE, November 6th through November 20th, you have the ability to enroll, add/remove dependents, change plans, or waive coverage.

If you do not take any action, your current benefits will automatically carry over to the new plan year. The only exceptions are health savings accounts (HSA) and flexible spending accounts (FSA), which must be re-elected every year.

We have several exciting changes for 2023:

  • Jefferson County is pleased to be able to keep your medical, dental and vision premiums the same. In addition, there will be two monthly benefit premium holidays in the months of January and July

  • Outpatient mental health and substance abuse visits will be covered with no copay or visit limit for those enrolled in a UHC non-HDHP

  • Kaiser coverage is expanding to include services for infertility, gender affirming facial surgeries and additional preventive care
  • There will be a new flexible spending account (FSA) administrator, Surency

  • If you are already enrolled in voluntary life, you have the option to increase voluntary life coverage by $10,000, up to the guarantee-issue amount, without evidence of insurability. Individuals who would like to apply for more coverage or newly apply for coverage can do so during open enrollment. All coverage will be subject to evidence of insurabilty
