MEDICAL COVERAGE

Clarios offers employees a choice of medical plans administered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois. Each plan has a broad PPO network and includes coverage for:

 

  • Fertility treatment
  • ABS treatment
  • Virtual physical therapy
  • Virtual primary care
  • Mental health resources
  • And much more

PHARMACY COVERAGE
Clarios’ Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois medical plans include pharmacy coverage administered by Optum Rx. This booklet provides information regarding covered medications.
 
WELL365 WELLNESS PROGRAM
Our Well365 Wellness Program provides rewards, tools, and resources to help eligible employees reach their wellness goals. When you participate, you can save money on your medical premiums and be on the road to better health!

HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNT (HSA)

Depending on which medical plan you choose, an HSA is available. The HSA is administered by Fidelity Investments. It is a personal savings account you can use to pay for qualified out-of-pocket health care expenses for you and your family members with pretax dollars. Clarios also contributes to the HSA for employees earning less than $100,000 per year.

 

The HSA is always yours! The funds in your HSA roll over from year to year, and you take it with you if you leave Clarios or retire. Any funds not needed for current qualified medical expenses can be invested in a wide variety of investment options— including mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and CDs.

 

FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT (FSA)

Clarios offers two types of FSAs:

 

  • The Health Care FSA is available for employees who enroll in the PPO medical plan. You use pretax dollars in your Health Care FSA to reimburse yourself for eligible out-of-pocket medical, dental and vision expenses incurred in the plan year.
 
  • The Dependent Care FSA is used to contribute pretax funds to cover dependent day care and elder expenses incurred in the plan year.
DENTAL COVERAGE
Clarios offers two dental plans through MetLife. Preventive services are covered at no cost to you and include routine exams and cleanings. When you visit a dentist in the network, you will maximize your savings.

VISION COVERAGE
Clarios’ vision plan is insured by EyeMed Vision Care. The plan includes coverage for exams, lenses, frames and contacts once every calendar year.

LIFE AND ACCIDENT INSURANCE
Clarios offers company-paid Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage to all employees. You can also purchase additional coverage for you and your eligible dependents.
DISABILITY INSURANCE
Clarios provides company-paid Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) coverage to all eligible employees.

 

The coverage replaces 60% of your base pay should you experience an injury or illness and you’re unable to work.

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Clarios Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is offered to all employees. The program includes six face-to-face sessions with a licensed counselor for you and your eligible household members. The EAP also incudes unlimited professional telephonic counseling services.
401(k) PLAN
Clarios offers a 401(k) plan, administered by Fidelity Investments, which allows you to save for retirement using pretax dollars from your paycheck. Clarios also contributes to your 401(k):

Matching Contributions
Clarios matches your contributions dollar for dollar up to the first 4% of eligible pay you contribute, and 50 cents on the dollar on the next 2% you contribute.

Retirement Income Contribution (RIC)
Clarios makes a RIC contribution to your account, regardless of how much you contribute.

The RIC is based on your “Retirement Points” which are calculated based on the sum of your age and years of eligibility as of December 31 each year.

*Employees assigned to plants will follow the holiday schedule for their facility.
