HSA & FSA
2026 FSA & HRA BENEFITS

Dependent Care FSA: Covers child or dependent care needed, so you (and your spouse, if applicable) can work |
|
Eligibility rules |
If you are enrolled in a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), you can only enroll in a Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account. |

HRA OVERVIEW |
|
What is a Health Reimbursement Account? |
A Health Reimbursement Arrangement, or Health Reimbursement Account, is used to supplement your health benefits.
Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRAs) are funded entirely by your employer; you make no deposits to this account.
HRAs allow you to withdraw money for qualified medical expenses. Once you use the money provided by your HRA, you have to meet a deductible for medical expenses before major medical coverage kicks in.
With the opportunity to determine how and when your health care dollars are used, you have an incentive to become an informed health care consumer. |
Contribution limits |
You will receive $250 per month from Metro Waste Authority to use for qualified expenses. |
Who contributes to this plan? |
Metro Waste Authority will contribute $250 per month. As an employee, you do not have to make any contributions. |
Unused funds carry over? |
Yes |
What expenses are eligible? |
See www.irs.gov, Publication 502 for a list of eligible expenses |
Can I invest the money in my account? |
No |
