The High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with a Health Savings Account (HSA) offers lower monthly premiums and higher deductibles, providing a cost-effective option for managing your healthcare expenses.
Enrollees can contribute to an HSA, which is a tax-advantaged account used to pay for qualified medical expenses, with unused funds rolling over year to year. Many preventive services are covered at no cost before meeting the deductible. The plan also offers the flexibility to choose any doctor or hospital, with potential savings for in-network services.

You may enroll in the benefits when you are newly hired, during the annual open enrollment period, or if you experience a qualifying event throughout the year.

If you are enrolled in one of Putnam County Schools Insurance Group medical plans, you automatically have prescription drug coverage through Pharmacy Benefit Management. Your prescriptions are subject to your medical deductible and may be paid with available HSA dollars.
Home delivery is also provided by PBM. Certain controlled substances and prescriptions that have expired will require a new prescription from a doctor. Click on the Prescription Plan Benefits button below for more details about the plan.

Telehealth — sometimes called telemedicine or Virtual Care — lets your health care provider care for you without an in-person office visit. It is primarily offered online with internet access on your computer, tablet, or smartphone.
The great thing about telehealth visits is they allow you to seek medical care from the comfort of your own home and for a substantially lower cost than going to the emergency room or urgent care for non-urgent needs. Keep in mind, telehealth is not a perfect fit for everyone or every medical condition. Make sure you discuss any disadvantages or risks with your healthcare provider.

Maintaining good oral hygiene is paramount to your overall health and wellness. That is why Amazon has partnered with Delta Dental, one of the largest carriers, to provide our employees and their families with excellent dental coverage.
Regular dental care is an important part of caring for your overall health, and keeping your teeth fit may protect you from major expenses in the future. Use dental coverage through Delta Dental to help pay for the cost of routine checkups and just about any other type of dental work you might need, such as crowns or root canals.
If you have an HSA or an FSA, you can use these funds to cover eligible dental costs like your deductible or copay.

Putnam County Schools Insurance Group have partnered with RxProtect to lower your pharmacy cost. This is a voluntary program; however, we encourage you to contact TrueScripts or RxProtect directly to learn more. If you and/or any of your family members are enrolled in the healthcare Plan, you are eligible for this program. The cost of your eligible medications is $0 while using RxProtect, even if your deductible has not been met.

Our goal is to help our members, when needed, receive high quality second opinions to receive potentially better treatments options or even avoid unnecessary surgeries or treatment. We are proud to provide the Edison Health Care SmartCare Center, for those enrolled in our healthcare Plan. This program aims to give members access to America’s top medical centers for second opinions in key areas. These areas include spine, orthopedic & joint, heart, cancer, women’s health, transplant, and complex care. If Edison accepts your case, you are provided with a second opinion for free to low cost with expenses paid with PCSIG consortium funds.
